All projects are managed to a number of key milestones that define the successes that have been achieved to date. The development of a wind farm project is no different. This page provides you with a brief description and update on the progress of the milestones that must be reached if a wind farm is to become operational.
The Commonwealth Government granted approval for the Project under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, on April 4, 2017. The approval was issued by the Hon. Josh Frydenberg, Minister for the Environment and Energy, and permits the development of up to 37 wind turbine generators, a transmission line and the associated infrastructure. The conditions of approval can be accessed by the Commonwealth Government website here.
Approval under the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 was awarded by the NSW Planning Assessment Commission May 10, 2016 subject to the conditions provided in the Development Consent. The Development Consent and related documentation can be accessed via the NSW Department of Planning and Environment website here.
Together these approvals provide the Project with the authorisations required to proceed toward construction of the Project, in accordance with the conditions of each consent. Construction of the Project is expected to commence in late 2017.
